Make-up artist Anna Ukhanova - about her favorite clothes

For the Appearance column, we photograph beautifully or strangely dressed townspeople in their favorite things and ask them to tell stories related to them. This week our heroine is makeup artist Anna Ukhanova.

About seven years old, my mother dressed me up like a doll: dresses below the knees, sandals, a panama hat with flowers and a scarf. I look at black and white photos - well, lovely girl! At school, in the 90s, when fashion itself went out of fashion, who dressed in what much. Me too, of course. Market cap t-shirts with DiCaprio, denim overalls, Scooter-branded hoodies and platform shoes like Spice Girls.

My searches of myself went through many stages through large handmade beads and red-framed freak sunglasses, long skirts made of transparent chiffon, which, by the way, I started wearing several years before this became a fashion trend, and even a total retro look dude.

Expanding horizons greatly helped travel and experience living in different countries. And I always paid attention not so much to things as to their presentation. For example, an Australian woman can wear a starched white shirt, denim shorts and some incredible shoes and wear it with dignity. Without makeup, with tousled hair, but what a chic!

My current style was shaped largely by the influence of Instagram. I constantly save the images I like in a separate folder and then revise. In addition, I like to look at the profiles of COS (stylish minimalism timeless) and the domestic brand Ushatava with creative and at the same time as simple bows as possible.

I follow the trends without glasses, and I have minus 3.75 in both eyes.

I am not a logomaniac. Clothing is zilch. The main thing is harmony and charisma. Especially with my approach to socks: I sit on the floor at airports, lie on wide window sills and like to sit on a chair, legs crossed in a lotus position.

In general, on the wardrobe, I constantly feel my zodiac sign, Libra: one part of me wants to be a lady and wear refined elegant dresses, and the other pulls in second-hand clothes for shapeless stretched sweaters. How do they manage to get along together?

Socks "Sword"

Earrings bought in Tbilisi

I love this dress! I saw in the Munich COS, I didn’t dare to buy (there was a stupid: "Where will I go in it?"). I relied on fate, deciding: if I see him in Stuttgart, I'll take it. There we met again. Magical not only in color, but also in the texture of the fabric: it gets wet for a long time and dries quickly. I checked it by falling in it in a snowdrift and lying in an ice bath among bottles of champagne. The earrings from the jet, bought in a designer shop in Tbilisi, I wear, almost without taking off.

It is generally accepted that a good mass market is Zara, H&M, Uniqlo and Topshop. However, instead, clothes are inexpensive and at the same time I advise you to look for small prints among beautiful Georgians. I bought a Flying Painter tracksuit for 1,500 rubles in a factory in Tbilisi with heat. He had just been sewn and hung for sale.

Returning to the issue of the Georgian theme, I bought a turtleneck in the same place at the factory. I love her for her complex dark cerulean color, for such a pleasant to the touch fabric and for a secret pocket in the chest area where I put the candy. Light cropped trousers are probably the most common item in my wardrobe after skirts and shirts. It is only a pity that the season for them in Russia is extremely short. I love socks that are not ashamed to show to the public. Here they are the main emphasis in the image. About five years ago, my quilted handbags were handed out or abandoned to the far corner of the wardrobe, where they are now lonely. Because I discovered O Bag! These bags are a combination of quality, functionality, novelty and exclusivity. I myself designed it from parts in a brand store in Padua.

This is my favorite universal summer outfit. If you put on a light white topic, then directly Laima Vaikule on the Riga seaside, no less! Thanks to Demna Gvasalia for showing us all what ugly crosses are. Someone loves them wholeheartedly (heartfelt greetings from me), someone hates them, and someone secretly wants to. These roof-top sneakers suddenly caught my eye in a cozy showroom in Moscow. A brilliant example of the fact that even on expensive Patrick on sale you can find quality stylish shoes for less than Nike Huarache.

Cropped jeans are another favorite thing in my basic wardrobe for about ten years: they go well with strict shirts, jackets and any pair of shoes. Sweatshirt with luminescent stripes - a present from St. Petersburg from my boyfriend. Entrusted with the words: "One size larger as you like." I bought sneakers at a crazy New Year’s sale last year in Seoul before even the most backward sections of the population changed their shoes. They are dear to me because they have stood the hour-long ascent to Mount Gergeti through puddles and mud. The COS jacket consists of two elements: a vest and a bomber jacket, which sometimes I wear separately. I love it when it’s "from Friday Friday."

Jacket bought in Italy

Skirt, glasses - vintage

Hugo Boss Loafers

An Angora sweatshirt was whipped up in southern Italy in a boutique on a cold December 31 morning. That day, for the first time in five years, snow fell! A lot of snow! And of course, each of my Italian friends associated this solely with my arrival from Russia. Bracelets are a small part of my geography; a memory imprinted in the ornaments on my wrists from the age of ten. Those that are now on hand, especially dear to the heart, I never take them off. Leather with a metal flower, for example, was bought in a fit of captivating happiness in rainy Venice on January 7, 2016. An hour before this, there was such a long-awaited first kiss with a guy with whom I had been in love for several years.

Hugo Boss boots

Calzedonia knee-highs

Since the work of a makeup artist involves unspoken laws on the dress code, in my wardrobe there are a lot of black and white concise things. I wear a backstage a priori in total black, diluted with accent shoes. When preparing the bride, where you can get into the frame, the choice is made in favor of the classics with a white shirt. And in such a light and free image of a student, I can work, say, with a graduate or with a teenager at a photo shoot. Golf length is crucial! Below the knees gives a touch of spontaneity, above - the path to hunting for the hearts of men (probably).

A brand coat that cannot be confused with others was bought at an Italian outlet. My favorite deep blue. It is autumn, but I put it on in winter with a heater in the form of a Uniclo jacket. Against the background of snow-white snowdrifts it looks very cool!

Jacket Dsquared2

Sweatshirt Carven

Skirt N ° 21

Max Mara boots

I remember when I was ten, daydreaming about trousers and a jacket made of jeans. All fashionable high school students wore it! Then my parents forked for my jeans dream. For 20 years, for some reason, I did not have new jackets, but the love for them never disappeared. The current comeback of a denim jacket in my wardrobe was both unexpected and long-awaited - the boyfriend gave from his shoulder. Military skirt with stripes - defeat in one shot. I mix it with anything from a turtleneck or sweater to a bomber jacket and rough boots. Depends on the degree of mischief.

Hoodies purchased at Bloom Concept

Skirt - second-hand in Melbourne

Men's shoes Cappelletti

Bag O Bag

When I put on this outfit, my mother calls me an orphanage. I notice: "The orphanage is in oversize." On top is a swamp-colored cloak, a brutal dimensionless sweatshirt, a skirt with boots two sizes larger and a rubber bag. What five years ago would be called a bumpkin is now the most savory. In my opinion, such voluminous things emphasize the fragility of a girl, regardless of physical data. Shoes inherited from her boyfriend. If you like a thing, wear it to hell with gender!

Perfume

Finding your perfume is an amusing, but wildly tiring affair. He needs fitting even more than clothes that can at least be sutured. The very consumption of the contents of the bottle does not interest me as the layering of aromas. "Molecule" add to everything! It turns out such an individual unique accessory. I mix the aroma in a mini spray, make a cloud in front of me and enter it like a princess in a Disney movie.

Thank you for your help in filming The Circle.

In early August, Evgenia Chudnovets, herself once convicted of extremism, wrote a complaint to the E Center asking her to check Pussy Riot's videos. The progressive public, which had previously actively defended the convict, immediately declared Eugene an enemy and a scammer. Now Eugene suggests writing as many “denunciations” to the “E” Center as possible - only in this way, in her opinion, can society independently fight extremism.
