18 new cafes, bars and restaurants of autumn in St. Petersburg

Holy water

Another bar on the street Nekrasov. The owner Vladimir Zimov was guided by underground German techno-bars: instead of chairs, car seats were arranged here, and the wall behind the bar was decorated with a photo of the famous graffiti by Dmitry Vrubel "Lord! Help me survive in the midst of this mortal love." The menu includes strong alcohol, five branded cocktails, draft beer and sandwiches based on canned and pastes popular in the Soviet Union. On weekends, theme parties, concerts and poetry evenings will be held.

"Veal tenderness"

A respectable restaurant on the Petrograd side on the site of another respectable restaurant "Langoustine", which specialized in fish and seafood. In the new institution, the emphasis shifted towards meat: in one of the halls, dry-ripening chambers will be installed, and in the kitchen - a josper oven. The fish, however, will not go anywhere either: there will even be an aquasystem with mussels, oysters and other mollusks. The kitchen is supervised by brand chef Mikhail Nekrasov, the restaurant chef is Alexander Bogdanov (Gorokhov, Mald House).

"Ola Crab"

The new restaurant from the owners of the family-owned Italian restaurant Chipollino is a panoramic restaurant in the business center on Petrogradskaya Embankment. In addition to Italian cuisine, there will be Japanese sushi and rolls, as well as a special section on the menu with crab dishes, for which brand chef Ivan Zaitsev is responsible.

Sahinkle Kazbegi

Khinkalnaya, which will be located in one of the former garages on the territory of the "Golitsyn Loft." Unlike the owners of most of the other establishments in the cluster, Kazbegi owners Olga Voldaykina and Maria Palamarchuk started large-scale repairs: there will be an open kitchen, a wine cellar and a bar in one of the halls. The menu will be compact, but the main specialties - khinkali and khachapuri - will cook a wide variety of types. Among other things, an extensive cultural program with lectures by Georgian art historians, concerts and master classes is planned.

"Meat grinder"

The new burger on Liteiny prospect, the owners of which plan to turn the institution into a network and are working on a recipe for a reference burger. It is promised that the buns will be baked in their own bakery with the addition of potato flakes and caramelized onions, the cutlets will be made exclusively from black angus marble beef, while it is planned to strictly control the degree of grinding and fatty stuffing, and they will be cooked on an open fire on a special grill using a combination of birch and apple firewood.

"Pro Frying"

A 24-hour establishment of three rooms on Ligovsky Prospekt with grilled dishes and a variety of street food: falafel, shawarma and burgers. Design by designer Dmitry Davydov (Bolshoybar, Goose Goose). One of the halls will be reserved for sports broadcasts.

The former team opens the Daily gastrobar at the site of the Barrel bar, which has closed on Kazan Street. It is planned that this will be a democratic institution for every day with tapas, burgers and a large selection of seafood dishes, for which chef Vadim Ivanov is responsible. The interior in the Belgian style is engaged in by Kira Grishina ("House of Life", "Pif-Paf").

The new restaurant project of the Ginza Project holding on the site of the closed Korovabar steakhouse. The organizers have kept secret the details, but it’s known that brand chef Hayk Veishtort will be the head of the kitchen, and the menu will focus on the author’s cuisine.

On the territory of the former dairy farm, Julia Benois, and later - the state farm "Lesnoye" in the north of the city, which the businessman Andrei Lushnikov turned into the cultural space "Benois 1890", will open a two-story restaurant with a wood-burning stove, a smokehouse and a bakery. On the ground floor there will be a large hall for 250 people, on the second floor there are several smaller halls designed for events. The project is supervised by Aram Mnatsakanov (Probka Family), the chef is Alexander Nechaev ("Terrace", "Gymnasium").

Black china

The new project of Anna Dolgushina and Madina Kazhimova (Wong Kar Wine, Port) is a Chinese restaurant with 50 seats with a modern interior and affordable prices. The promised Japanese wood grill, which will prepare meat dishes, and several roasters built into the tables. The bar menu will include a selection of wines, beer and cocktails based on Chinese distillates.

Dickman's Deli

American-Jewish diner with display windows on the Petrograd side, which is preparing for the opening of Dmitry Dikman ("Yat"). They promise snacks, pastrami sandwiches, smoked chicken roll, burgers and homemade sausages. Actually, their production has already been established: in the summer, the team participated in street festivals, and in parallel launched a service for the sale of picnic sets.

Healthy food restaurant at a sports club on the Petrograd side. Chef Kirill Safonov (Tesla Bar, "Somewhere", "Attic") is developing a line of dishes without the use of sugar, flour and other ingredients that most people associate with excess calories and health damage.

Paninaro and Taiki Doner Kebab

A team of Italian pizzeria Paninaro and Thai restaurant Taika opens doner kebab. The Berlin doners, which appeared almost immediately after the launch of a program to attract migrant workers from Turkey in the 60s, were taken as a sample. Migrants brought with them traditional recipes that were adapted to the European taste. They promise to design a compact institution on Kronverksky Avenue, the name of which has not yet been invented, in Berlin, without oriental flavor, but with an iron slate on the ceiling and TVs on the walls. The menu contains three types of doner kebab, french fries, coleslaw and craft beer.

The project of Aleksey Burov and Pavel Kokkov (“Beer card”, “Trappist”, “Forno Bravo”, “Forcemeat & Bochka”), which will open on the site of the restaurant-coffee house “Myzeny”. The institution will work in the format of a barbecue bar: a special oven will be installed in the kitchen in which the meat will be simmered for 16-18 hours at low temperatures.

The second restaurant with a shawarma, falafel, chicken grill and other Arabic specialties from the Brixton restaurant group (Brixton, Crosta). The first Corner Kebab launched in the winter in a tiny room on Rubinstein Street. The new one will be much larger and lighter, brick walls and twilight will be replaced by light walls and a motley sofa in oriental style around the perimeter of the hall.

Serbish Meat & Fish

The new gastroproject of Jovan Rashet, the owner of the Chaika cafe, is a democratic institution of Serbian and Croatian cuisine with an emphasis on fish and seafood. Menu Rashet develops together with his brother - chef Nicola Krstic. Promised are traditional dishes from the Dalmatian region, a large selection of brandies and Balkan wines.

"Barnyard"

The cafe on Konnogvardeisky Boulevard, promised at the end of spring, from the team of Rinat Umyarov, Yevgeny Khitkov, Alexander Boltyan and Nikolai Fatyanov will start in the second half of autumn. The delay is due to the complex process of project approvals at KGIOP. The planned terrace and petanque area by that time are likely to be irrelevant, but the wine cellar, simple food and spontaneous parties are not canceled.
